Welcome to the first 2018 monthly Pinterest Challenge Blog Hop, hosted by My Pinterventures. The purpose of this Pinterest Challenge is to motivate all the participants of this hop (and you too) to not just pin, but to make it happen! So this month, I chose to make/create Snowball Sensory Bin from this Life of a Homeschool Mom and her Snowball Sensory Bin. I knew the kids would love playing the “snow.”
One thing my children look forward to every month/season is a new sensory bin. I had actually put it away in December and didn’t make a Christmas themed one because so much was going on. They were so excited when I brought it up this morning and kept asking “is it ready yet?”

The Little Tikes Garden Table is the best gift my daughter has ever received because we use it all the time and it came with everything for a flower planting bin (except for the black beans). It’s the perfect size for two kids to play in, has a cover, is easy to clean and is just the right size for being in the house. I would recommend the Little Tikes Garden Table to everyone.
I had to add my own twist so I added some different materials. Everything I added was from the Dollar Tree or I already had it at home. I found the dump trucks and the cute little buckets and new they would be perfect for filling with snow. Then when I was downstairs looking for a couple things, I saw the mini stuffed animals and thought why not.
I added the tongs, which is perfect for fine motor skills and the kids love picking up the huge pom poms and the piles of snow.
They had fun with the stuffed animals and making paths in the “snow.” Then they had a blizzard and covered the trucks in the snow and had to dig the trucks out. I love watching and listening to them as they play.
The creativity and the imagination is inspiring. The munchkins played throughout the day in the sensory bin and will continue to play with it. My son already asked “what’s going to be in the Valentine’s Day bin? I can’t wait.” I better start thinking and browsing Pinterest now.
