It’s that time of the month again for my favorite post- the Pinterest Challenge hosted by My Pinterventures. The purpose of this Pinterest Challenge is to motivate all the participants of this hop (and you too) to not just pin, but to make it happen! It’s time for me to create and make a pin I’ve been hoarding. I feel like I see this reversible scarecrow snowman all the time on Pinterest once fall comes. I’ve always found this adorable and thought I should make one. The other day I was looking through the scrap wood pile and found pieces that would be perfect for this project.

Let’s Create a Reversible Scarecrow Snowman
All the post I read used pallet wood, but I’m going to use this as indoor decor so I used extra plywood from our kitchen cabinets.
To glue the wood together I laid all the pieces side by side and glued the 5th piece of wood diagonal across the pieces using wood glue. I did this to both sides. A tip I learned is to paint the side of the wood you will be glueing before you glue it down.
Now it’s time to paint and decorate each side. I used painters tape to create nice smooth lines. I used the khaki for the scarecrows face and the nutmeg brown for his hat. The snowman is a classic in black and white.
Using my Cricut Maker I made the face for the snowman and the scarecrow. Then I cut everything in vinyl and attached it with transfer tape. I made the scarecrow nose a triangle and forgot I wanted him to have a candy corn nose. So I went back and added the white top and yellow bottom to the nose.
Originally I wanted the snowman to have button eyes, but they just didn’t look good. I was disappointed, but used vinyl for his face instead.
These guys are super cute, but I still feel like they needed something. I found sparkly snowflakes for the snowman’s hat and a big sunflower for the scarecrow. They are ready to celebrate fall and winter this year. Do you have any double sided decorations?
