I missed out on the buffalo check fabric pumpkins at Hobby Lobby and I was so disappointed, I just wasn’t ready to buy pumpkins in July. Now I’m in fall mode and I’m going to make my own buffalo check no sew fabric pumpkins. It’s a fun and easy craft for fall and all my crafty blogging friends will be sharing what they created too!

Let’s Create No Sew Fabric Pumpkins for Fall
Buffalo check pumpkins are a must for my fall decor so it’s time to make some. I remembered I had some leftover buffalo check shirt from my embroidery hoop wreath. These easy homemade no sew pumpkins are adorable and it’s always fun to get crafty.
I removed the velvet and the stem so now I have a foam pumpkin to craft with. Removing the velvet and the stem was really easy, just pull. This will give me space to stuff the fabric into the pumpkin. Dollar Tree has many faux pumpkins to choose from and any of the foam ones will work.
Cut strips of the shirt about 2 inches wide and 14 inches long. As with anything from the thrift store, make sure you wash the shirt first and iron it (if needed).
Start wrapping the pumpkin with the buffalo check shirt fabric strips (try saying that 3 times fast) all the way around the pumpkin. Stuff the extra into the top of the pumpkin. If you need to, add some hot glue to make it stay in place. Just wrap it tight and make sure your fabric overlaps on your pumpkin.
Once I get into the creative process, sometimes I forget small details like how many strips to wrap the pumpkin? I counted on the second pumpkin (I had to make more than one) and it took 7. The number of strips will depend on the width of the strips and the size of your pumpkin.
To finish this easy fall pumpkin idea, add your stem. My original plan was to use a dowel, but I decided I liked the original stem and glued it back on.
