New Year Inspiration and Goals + HM#166
Inspirational Goal Setting + Preserving your Memories
A New Year, A New You! That’s what I always think at the start of a new year. Find your new year inspiration and set goals to have an amazing year. Plus link up at the Home Matters with recipes, DIY, crafts, and decor. For the new year I wanted to share different ideas to start your year off right and to give inspirational ideas of how to set goals and ways to preserve memories.
As the saying goes “the days are long, but the years are short” is so true for anyone with children. I am sharing New Years Tradition to Save and Preserve Your Memories, from my blog Cookies Coffee and Crafts
Children grow and change so fast that this is a way to preserve your memories. I try and set a goal for every night after my children go to bed to do this and it helps me to remember how thankful and blessed I am.

No more resolutions! Why Setting Goals is Important from Jen @ Practical by Default.
This article outlines how to set goals instead of resolutions and achieve them. Jenny shares her goals for the year and how she plans to achieve them.
Why I Don’t Make Resolutions from Jenny @Jenny Louise Marie
I found this post so inspiring because I loved how she said how goals can be tweaked as life changes because many things can happen in a year. Jenny shares her goals for the year and how she plans to achieve them.

Home Matters Linky Party Guidelines:
We are thrilled that you came by to link up today! Here are a few rules that hosts and co-hosts of the Home Matters Party follow, and we ask that you follow them, as well.
- Please link up no more than THREE posts each week–try to make sure that they are new links that you have not shared here previously. (Exception: Holiday/Seasonal specific posts may be shared once per year.)
- Please take some time to poke around and visit some of the other links.
- Please take some time to check out your hosts and co-hosts on social media.
- We appreciate the variety of blogs on the www; however, the Home Matters Party is for links on matters of the HOME. Please link accordingly.
- We ask that you do not add other Linky Parties, Blog Hops, or Giveaways–unless you begin the party with a new project, recipe or post.
- On the same note, please do not add links of an extremist, political or strong controversial nature. (The hosts and co-hosts read each and every blog post linked, and will contact you directly if you have linked something that does not fit into the realm of the party.)
With your help, we can continue to grow the Home Matters Party! Thank you!

The goal setting post took me back to years ago when I had made a list of my resolutions and placed it in my jewelry box. I remember at the end of the year looking back on it and being so disappointed, but then I realized the resolutions were unrealistic. The idea of setting goals for myself and my home sound achievable and I am going to put a visual of this goal in my home so that I can see it everyday. I hope you have found inspiration and are ready to make the new year sparkle.
