School is out and summer is in full swing! Memories of fun in the sun will be happening all summer long. Now with smartphones it’s easy to snap pictures of all those moments. Use those pictures to create a Kids Summer Memory Book! Create this book all summer long to beat the boredom and the heat.
This will be a great way to spend time together and document your chid’s memories. Plus this will help bust the boredom because the kids will look forward to creating a page in their memory book. The kids summer memory books will look different depending on the age of your kids. Mine are young, so I will be using the books from Target Dollar Spot or creating my own with construction/scrapbook paper and stickers. If your kids are older, buy a scrapbook, journal or create printables to use. This idea is awesome because you can customize it to your children.

You can’t create a page for every little thing that you do, but use the book for places you go and visit or special things you do at home. Staycations are super fun to! I came up with a list of some fun ideas to put in your memory book.
Ideas to put in your Memory Book
Favorite Summer Outfit
Sidewalk Chalk Drawings
To Create the Memory Book:
– take pictures of creating the memory
– let your child pick his/her favorite picture
– print the pictures
– give your child the supplies to make a page in his/her memory book
I would do a couple pictures per idea for the book and I would do it the same week as the memory happened. Kids can easily forget stuff and so you don’t forget to do it. Every time you add a new memory to the book, have fun looking at the other memories you created this summer.
Now when kids are asked “What did you do this summer”, your kids can smile and say “Let me show you.” The kids summer memory book will be a wonderful keepsake and make it a family tradition to do one ever year!
