Today I was finally able to do some of my September scrapbooking. September was a busy month for us with a fall festival, our trip to the Outer Banks, our sons first day of preschool, plus fun photographs from the month of our children.
I do a family scrapbook for each year and I do the scrapbook monthly. This year I am trying to limit each month to only 4 pages because my scrapbooks our just to big. I love scrapbooking and its such a wonderful way to preserve our memories. Check out my blog on Photo Organization for how I keep my photos organized and labeled.
This was our first trip to the beach with our children and they had such a wonderful time except for when a gigantic wave came and took our sand toys away to the ocean. After that my son wanted to leave and was finished with the beach.
To make the scrapbook page, I found card stock the color of sand and then I used matching colors to my children’s bathing suits to mat the pictures. On my Cricut Explore I made the crab, the starfish, sun, the beach scene and the title, beach babies. For the title beach babies I used the font, Cheri, it’s one of my favorites. I’m sure you will notice the starfish has one leg shorter then the others, I used a piece of scrap paper and it wasn’t big enough, but I thought it was cute and used it anyways, it gave the starfish character.
On the other side of the cardstock, I used beach stickers from Jolee’s Boutique. I love to use double sided card stock and using both sides, I don’t like to waste anything.
These are my favorite pictures from our day at the beach. I can’t wait to take them back next year!
